Job Title: Duct Fitter's Mate
Location: Leicester General Hospital
Start: 9th February 2026
Duration: 1 Month (with potential for extension)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00
Rate: £16.25 per hour
Role Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Duct Fitter's Mate to join an ongoing project at Leicester General Hospital. This is a short-term opportunity working alongside skilled duct fitters on a commercial healthcare site.
Scope of Work:
- Assisting duct fitters with the installation of galvanised ductwork
- Handling materials and tools safely and efficiently
- Supporting site operations to ensure work is completed to a high standard
- Following all health & safety procedures on a live hospital environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Duct Fitter's Mate or similar role
- Experience working with galvanised ductwork preferred
- Good understanding of site health & safety
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Valid CSCS card
