HVAC Mechanical Estimator (with Design Experience) Job Summary Working as part of a collaborative team, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems and mechanical design & build (D&B) estimating. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of analysing project specifications, collaborating with design teams, and producing comprehensive and commercially sound estimates. Key Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, and documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities Accurately undertake any necessary take-offs of drawings and schedules and perform data entry into the estimating software Provide detailed scope of works with breakdowns Oversee the compilation of the tender return to ensure all elements are accounted for prior to submittal Identify and review material and labour requirements in order to determine which is more cost effective Will be involved in winning and tendering desired projects with suppliers and sub-contractors. Reviewing tender documentation issued by clients and drive a thorough understanding of requirements. Responsible for accurately quantifying materials, plant and labour requirements for allocated projects, ensure that for pre-designed projects, enquiries relative to the supply of materials, plant and labour is satisfactorily dealt with and that relevant information, contractual and trading particulars are distributed. Set up, in conjunction with others, estimating process and procedures, systems and data base.
